Matthew Templeman is a producer, engineer, mixer and song writer based in Perth, Western Australia. Matthew has been working in the Perth music scene for over eight years as an original member of the band Statues and several other projects. In these projects Matthew plays bass and engineers / produces the bands releases. Through working on demos for his own projects with long time friend and musician Scott Kay, Matthew developed a fascination for all aspects of record production leading to commencing work as a freelance engineer in early 2009.
Since then Matthew has worked on releases for bands such as Voyager, Make Them Suffer, Absent Hearts, Ratking, Havoc, Saviour, Statues, Life Pilot and Sail On! Sail On! among others. Through working with these artists Matthew felt the need to have the projects mastered externally which led to a continuing collaboration with mastering engineer Simon Struthers of Forensic Audio. As a product of this collaboration Matthew built a recording / mixing facility within the Forensic Audio complex in May of 2013 which is now used for all of his projects.
Matthew is ultimately a music lover, with extreme attention to detail, a trait which he applies to every project. His ultimate goal is to create recordings that not only the artist and himself can be proud of but something that will stand the test of time, capture the artists individuality and seek to evoke an emotional response from listeners. If you would like to work with Matthew please do not hesitate to contact him to discuss your project via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +61420 308 935.
